Getting Busy

Boy, I’ve been in a slump. I know what the main issues are. I just haven’t been able to address them. First, my craft room is too messy. It needs to be cleaned out. I can’t work or do videos in there when it is so disordered. The other issue is the one of selling vs. having fun. I think every demonstrator has gone through this some time or another. I’m retired and have a pretty active life. Do I want a business, hence a job, or do I want to have a hobby? I know the answer to that for me is to stay in the middle. I enjoy sharing the craft with others. I need some sales to continue buying for myself, but am not willing to devote time to build a business. There are just not enough hours in a day! There are so many very talented demonstrators out there. There is always more to learn, but in my own time.

For now and until I get my craft room in order, I am taking a break. No videos, no classes, no big purchases. Once all is back in order, I can reevaluate what I want to do. Tomorrow, the clean out begins!

Thank you to all who have stuck with me these last years. I really do appreciate the business. It helps me to continue enjoying my hobby.

These Old Bones

I’m really not that old. I just feel it sometimes. I was away in October in Italy. I took a trip of a lifetime. It was beautiful and everything I imagined. Unfortunately, traveling took a lot out of me and my husband both. We had a wonderful journey, but took some days off for rest. I fell getting on the airplane in London and spent my first week in Italy in pain. My husband got sick the second week and I the third. It is now November 12 and I am just getting my energy back. I would not trade the experience for anything, but I had no idea I would be out of it for so long.

It’s back to work. I have scheduled some classes in December for my customers to make cards, a gift card envelope, a calendar, and an ornament. I have a lot to do to prepare. I also need to get back to my Tutorial Thursday on YouTube. I’ve really dropped the ball on everything.

I also have a card swap group on Facebook called Card Swappin’ With Friends. Anyone who agrees to use Stampin’ Up! products only may join and swap themed cards in small groups. It’s an excellent way to practice designing, build card inventory, and make friends. If interested, you can find it HERE.

Sale-A-Bration is around the corner. New mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogs will be out in January. Come back to see more of the new products. I haven’t even seen them yet!

Did you know I have a newsletter? I actually keep customers apprised of specials, new products, ideas, clubs, etc. If you would like to be added, send an email to Niecylovestostamp@yahoo.com and provide your full name and email address. I will add you to my newsletter contact list.

Please remember to check out my reward programs. I want my customers to know they are appreciated, so I offer ways for everyone to receive free products.

Happy Stampin’

Life and Its Turns and New Products

No, I have not been here for awhile. I have not stopped selling and teaching either. Sometimes, and too often in my case, life and health issues get in my way. I am again dealing with some setbacks. I just couldn’t deal with any of my hobbies for a time. I’m still a little in limbo, and will always have issues due to an auto immune disease and just the challenge of aging. I am trying very intentionally to do this gracefully as I have a lot to be thankful for.

Just recently, I started feeling better and having more energy. It eventually led me back to my card making and other passions, and I am thrilled to be back. Think of me as a part time Stampin’ Up Demonstrator who juggles my small business with doctor visits and time with family and friends.

Should you need more, I can always refer you to a wonderful leader and demonstrator whose team I am part of. I do not want to lose customers; however, I understand. My leader, Di, does any more classes in the mail, tutorials, socials online, and is a high producing saleswoman for SU. Please let me know at Niecylovestostamp@yahoo.com if you wish to follow her as well and I will get you connected.

This is a very exciting time. Stampin’ Up came out with their newest catalog – Annual Catalog May 2023- April 2024 – and there are many beautiful new and returning products. Please browse through and remember to check out KITS and Paper Pumpkin as well. We also had a color refresh with the new catalog. 2019 to 2023 In Colors have been retired and the newest In Colors – 2022-2024 – are now available. Finally, more Online Exclusives will be out soon. Be sure to check them out. These are products that are available for a limited time and are not in the catalog. You can find those HERE.

What is my current plan? I have a couple boxes of retired products I need to sell, so a list will becoming out soon. Watch for that here, in my newsletter (send you email address, name, and telephone to Niecylovestostamp@yahoo.com if you would like to be added to the newsletter), or Facebook Page. I give my customers first chance before posting to seller sites. Other than that, I have kits and Paper Pumpkins that I need to work on. Needless to say, I’m a bit behind with projects. Luckily, they are for my enjoyment, so no immediate pressure.

Also, watch for some card making classes/gatherings soon. I will be having them for locals in my home. I also will be offering Christmas Card Classes soon. I like to start those in summer, so I have a stash by the holidays.

Remember to check out my $75 Thank You for Being a Customer Gift Incentive and Purple Tulip Programs. You can find those right on this blog. Check the menu. I am switching Host Codes and the gift today for June. Look back for that.

Happy Stamping!

Tuesday Tips Follow Up

Hello! If you follow me on YouTube.com/@niecycraftsandmore, I have Tuesday Tips (4PM AZ time live), Wednesday Chat (6PM AZ time live), and Tutorial Thursday (video uploaded by 2PM, AZ time). Since my channel is new, I am still learning how to figure out how to add links. Until I can get that all straight, I would like to follow up with links and details here.

Today I talked about not losing our dies. You know how the new dies come on white thick card stock with double sided tape holding them in place? What do we do once we take the dies off the thick card stock? Can we put then back easily? Well I recently heard of a great idea, but can’t take credit for it. I can’t even remember when I saw the idea!

First, get yourself a Titan magnetic bowl or tray. You can purchase them on Amazon HERE. That is only the small bowl, but I love this larger tray HERE. When working with your dies, put them in your bowl or tray rather than lying on your table. They stay in the bowl/tray because of magnets. You will be able to find them easily when ready to put them away!

Okay, so you’ve finished your project and want to return your dies. How did those all fit? It’s a mystery, but there’s a solution. Take a copy of your dies right when they are new, before you’ve taken any off. Buy some Best Crafts (or another brand) of magnetic sheets with adhesive HERE. Cut then the size of your die package using the thick white card stock as your measuring tool.

These are the items I talked about on Tuesday Tips this week. I hope the idea is helpful.
